Book cover for antology of fantasy short stories Painted in Photoshop CS3. Thanks for watching.
Where to start... I thought it was very interesting of the artist to insert such detail into just the fur line of the monster, so much that is blended nicely into the forest setting. I enjoyed the intricate detail placed into the beast's ear, just to emphasize the horns. I felt that part was well thought out. One criticism would be that the light does not travel well past the beast, as there is light blocked by it, but no light appears behind it, giving the illusion that it destroying the land, rather than just taking the 'daughter'. Overall, I think this piece is quite a wonderful scene, with just the right amount of texture to convey a point.
The Artist thought this was FAIR
