lol the position of her leg and his arm is a bit iffy. At first glance the thumbnail looked like he was grabbing her from behind doing dirty things. Especially with the placement of the satchel its in line with where his arm might have been.
I don't exactly know her story. In the briefing it said she is a black haired Viking woman who has been sailing the seas with pirates for some time (look at the tattoos on her arms). That's all I know . Thanks
This is absolutely gorgeous. My only criticism is her torso looks strangely long- we see the bottom edge of her ribcage, which looks almost straight up and down, and then there's that long extended portion of her abdomen. It's a little jarring in such a perfect piece! Would love to see your process sketches.
That's a beautiful cover. It' thick with texture and form, very organic. It affects a frozen moment imminent yet dynamic in nature granted in part I feel by the posing. Compositionally speaking it has quite a righteous flow with the gruff character lower and stooped in an animalistic fashion, and the higher one almost erupting in form toward the top with her up-reaching arm. Which flow is quite elegantly mirrored by the tones and forms beginning at the bottom with the sharp, dark, and close and fading into the soft, bright and distant. All of which seems designed to emphasise by mimesis clash of the two characters. Beautifully rendered, quite magnificent.
